SERVICE AGREEMENT

  • Monthly Rate and Services: The monthly rate shown above is for standard weekly service and includes basic chemicals (chlorine, muriatic acid, soda ash, sodium bi-carbonate, clarifier, and maintenance dosages for phosphate treatment). Services performed are as followed; netting and brushing the pool and/or spa, testing chemical levels, balancing the water, emptying skimmer and pump baskets, emptying any additional leaf canisters as needed, vacuuming as needed, backwash filter if applicable, and monitoring the pool equipment for any leaks or potential warning signs. *Please DO NOT add ANY chemicals to your pool while My Pool Boyz is providing service unless otherwise instructed to do so by a member of our staff. By doing so, this could affect the quality of the water and make it extremely difficult to keep your pool water clear and balanced.

 

  • Water Level: It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the water level in the pool is adequate each week. We recommend the water level to be halfway in the skimmer hole, or about halfway up the tile line. My Pool Boyz is not responsible for any damages or deterioration caused by low water levels in the pool.  

 

  • Pool Covers: My Pool Boyz does not remove pool covers from your pool due to liability reasonings. Pool covers must be removed by the customer on or before their service day. In the event we arrive and a pool cover is on the pool, limited services will be performed (testing the chemical levels, balancing the water, emptying the pump and skimmer baskets, review equipment).

 

  • Pool Toys/Floats: Please ensure any pool toys, floats, umbrellas, etc are removed from the pool prior to service day. Pool toys are recommended to be removed from the pool after use to prevent any damages to the pool cleaner or popups. My Pool Boyz will not remove any of these items from the pool for liability purposes. 

 

  • Communication: Email is our primary means of communication as we are often out in the field most of the day. If you require us to provide an ETA on service day (to bring your pets inside or unlock a gate), the technician servicing your pool will send a text message with an estimated time of arrival. Please be sure to check your email weekly for your service reports (these will be emailed after your service has been completed) as they often have additional information, notes, requests, or suggestions for repairs. If any of your contact information changes, please notify us immediately via email so we can update our records. 

 

 

  • Storm Weeks: In the event of inclement weather (rain, high winds, lightning, etc), for the safety of our service technicians, we may perform limited services for that service day (testing the chemical levels, balancing the water, emptying the pump and skimmer baskets). Standard service will resume the following week in the event weather permits. No pricing adjustments are made for “storm weeks” as an attempt to service the pool to the extent that weather permits will be made.

 

 

  • Skipped Service: Rare circumstances occasionally prevent us from servicing your pool on your scheduled day. These circumstances can be easily avoided and usually consist of; the gate being locked on service day, a dog in the backyard, past due balances, or compromised access to the backyard, just to name a few. In the event My Pool Boyz is unable to access the service area for any reason, services will not be performed that week and customer shall not be entitled to a credit. In addition, we may leave chemicals for you to add to the pool (please check your email on the skipped day for further details). Normal service will resume the following week assuming the circumstances have been resolved. 

 

  • Vacation Weeks: My Pool Boyz billing is based on 48 service weeks in a year, or 4 weeks per month (please note there are 52 weeks in a calendar year, and 4 months with a 5th week). During the months that you are serviced a 5th time, pool service will be performed but you will not be billed anything additional. With this billing schedule, during “off season” we schedule 4 full vacation weeks where no weekly pool service will take place. No discount or credit is given for these 4 weeks off as they are already built into the month pricing structure when you are serviced 5 times in various months.

*Two additional, non-consecutive weeks of vacation taken between October – April. Emailed notice in advance will be provided with specific dates for the 4 weeks off. 

 

  • Billing: The billing cycle starts the 1st day of the month through the last day of the month. Invoices are sent electronically on the 15th day of each month and due no later than the 1st of the following month (Ex: January pool service is billed on January 15th and due no later than February 1st). Your invoice will be emailed to the email address you provided us. Payment methods we accept: All major credit cards, electronic funds transfers or electronic checks, bill payments from your financial institution, and checks. If you would like to setup automatic payments, please call our main line at (480) 737-1595. *Automatic payments are charged on the 1st of each month for all services and repairs completed in that calendar month.

  • Late Fees: Any past due balance exceeding 03 days from the due date will incur a $15 late fee.

 

  • Non-Payment: In the event we do not receive payment by 07 days past the due date, My Pool Boyz will suspend all services until the balance has been paid in full. We do not provide any prorated credits for services skipped due to past due balances, unless a total of 4 weeks has passed.    

 

  • Cleaners: All pools serviced by My Pool Boyz are required to have a functioning pool cleaner or functioning pop-ups for the duration of service. If you are looking into purchasing a new cleaner, please let us know so we can provide you some great recommendations, often cheaper than “big box retailers”.

 

  • Landscaping: If there is foliage in your backyard, we request that the landscaping is well kept. Excessive foliage that falls or blows into the pool often results in additional time and resources to clean up, in addition to using more than normal amounts of chlorine or sanitizer to keep your pool safe. 

 

  • Excessive Debris Cleanup: In the event of excessive debris in the pool that is deemed to be more than normal for the pool, and takes additional resources or time to clean up, an “Excessive Debris Cleanup” fee may apply (see pricing schedule for current rates). 

 

  • Service Calls: My Pool Boyz is here for you around the clock. If we need to come out to diagnose a problem or complete an emergency repair outside of your weekly service day, a “Service Call” fee may apply (see pricing schedule for current rates). If you have a pool related emergency or question, please call or text our business line at (480) 737-1595 for the fastest response. Most of the time we can alleviate the situation without having to come out immediately.

  • Filter Cleaning: Cartridge and DE Filters are scheduled to be cleaned every 6 months. 

 

*For the safety of our technicians and customers, there will be a $35 inspection fee for customers who choose to clean their own filters. Customer must notify us when the filter has been cleaned and email us before and after pictures of the filter grids or cartridges so we can schedule and perform the inspection. This inspection includes; inspecting the manifold for cracks, filter condition, filter housing, O-rings, and ensuring the filter band clamp is properly secured and sealed. In the event the filters were not properly cleaned, we will inform you and offer to perform the filter clean at the rate as listed on the pricing schedule.

If proper filter cleaning is declined, service rates or terms may be adjusted accordingly.

  • Repairs: Some pool repairs require immediate attention in order to keep your equipment running. Some common items we encounter are; pump lid O-rings, backwash piston rebuilding, filter O-rings, pop-up housing O-rings, pool cleaner parts, pool cleaner hoses, skimmer and pump baskets, filter air bleeds and gauges. These are just a few examples of items that may need immediate attention. We strive to be efficient when it comes to our route mapping in order to keep our service costs as low as possible. In order to provide the best service standard possible and to keep your pool running great, please initial next the line that you see fit your budget best.

  • Termination: All parties agree that this agreement is a monthly service agreement that continues from month to month until terminated in writing by source of email, text, or U.S. Mail. This agreement may be terminated by either party at any given time.

  

  • Disclaimer: Monthly service rates and all other service and repair pricing is subject to change at any given time. Monthly service rate increases will be emailed at least 30 days in advance. My Pool Boyz shall not be responsible for any damage to property due to acts of nature, fire, vandalism, misuse, or abuse. Customer should be aware of normal deterioration of equipment that occurs over time due to exposure to chemicals, sunlight, and, in some cases, other corrosive materials (i.e. salt). My Pool Boyz is not responsible for condition, deterioration, or damages to pool covers, toys, inflatables, or any other items left in the pool during service. My Pool Boyz is not responsible for, and hereby informs customer of the inherent dangers of lights hanging over head near or above the pool area. Should a light or other glass fixture, around, over, or near the pool area be broken, it will be highly recommended that the customer drain the pool to ensure all glass is removed. The customer assumes all risks of having glass near pool area and will therefore bear the cost of draining the pool and shall not be entitled to any form of payment for damages. The customer is responsible for maintaining correct water level at all times. My Pool Boyz is not responsible for any damages or deterioration caused by failure of a customer to perform other services recommended by My Pool Boyz, or by failure of the customer to properly maintain pool and equipment between visits. My Pool Boyz is not responsible for the deterioration of the pool surface (plaster/quartz/pebble) due to chemicals or age.
